RANDY BARE
RANDY BARECO-PASTOR

Rev. J. Randolph (Randy) Bare is Co-Pastor and Head of Staff for Memorial Presbyterian Church. Randy graduated from U.C. Berkeley. He was co-founder and first National Director of Inter-Varsity’s Graduate Student Ministry from 1988-1996. He graduated from Fuller Theological Seminary (with a Master of Divinity degree, 1990) and was ordained as a Minister of Word and Sacrament in the Presbyterian Church (USA). He served as Co-Pastor of Bethany Presbyterian Church in Minneapolis and then was called to be Presbyterian Campus Pastor at U.C. Berkeley where he served for 12 years before coming to MPC in 2009. Randy has been a leader within our denomination from its beginning, serving as Chair of MAT for the original Presbytery of the East and as Moderator of the Presbytery of Florida.  He current serves on the Executive Council of the Presbytery of Florida and serves on the Denominational Health and Welfare Committee. Randy is a film buff and has taught college courses in Theology and film and religious studies. Randy loves to preach through the Bible and help it come alive for people. Randy and his wife, Carrie live in West Palm Beach; they have two grown sons and two grandchildren who live in the Pacific Northwest.

KRISTA CARLSON
KRISTA CARLSONASSISTANT PASTOR

Krista received her B.A. in Political Science and Law, Societies and Justice at the University of Washington. After graduating she went on to work as an event coordinator and fundraiser for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Sensing a call to ministry she became an intern at Fisherwick Presbyterian Church in Belfast, Northern Ireland. She served as the Director of College Ministry in Berkeley, California. She graduated from Regent College in Vancouver, BC with an MDiv. She has also spent time working and interning at First Presbyterian Church in Bellingham Presbyterian Church in Bellingham, Washington and West Point Grey Presbyterian Church in Vancouver, B.C.

DAN CARLSON
DAN CARLSONCO-PASTOR

Dan grew up in a suburb of San Francisco and with his family was active in an Evangelical Covenant church. He accepted Christ as a 6 year old and his faith continued to grow. He was active in Sunday School and youth group. Dan was also part of Boy Scouts, (He is an Eagle Scout) and was a high school wrestler. Dan entered U.C. Berkeley as a freshman and graduated with a B.A. degree in history. Dan is a 2011 graduate of Regent College in Vancouver B.C., where he received the Master of Divinity degree. Dan has completed pastoral internships in two different churches, and a hospital, involving ministry with inner city youth, high schoolers, young adults and hospital chaplaincy. Dan and his wife Krista have a 2 year old son, Colton and a 2 month old son, Knox. Dan has a special focus in his ministry to young families, young adults, youth and college. Dan and Krista are grateful to God for guiding them to become part of the Memorial family!
